Description
Cervilliere (italian: cervelliera) is a type of helmet closest to the modern cap. It was quite wide-spread in Germany and Italy of 16th century. It was used by infantry and cavalry.
Cervilliere was a half-spherical helmet, fitted close to the head, often with small cutouts for the ears or additional cheek guards. This helmets could’ve been worn under the hat or a beret.
Although the helmet is meant for reenactment, it could fit great to the fantasy theme. For example, imperials in Warhammer.
The helmet is not suited for the sports use.
